Can you believe it’s already 2018? The last year has passed so quickly, it seems just like a blur. A lot has happened and a lot has changed in 2017. Which makes me even more excited for the new year! I don’t usually do New Year’s resolutions, but this time I have decided to set a few goals regarding my blog and my writing. Call them my blogging resolutions. And I will need your help to realize them, but more on that below. First, let’s start by celebrating the fact that Global Introvert turns 2 years old this month!

Developments on the blog – past and future

January 2016 I first published this website. In a way, it feels like I only published my first post yesterday, trembling with trepidation about how it would be received and what people would say. At the same time, it sometimes seems like I’ve had this blog all my life. Weird, isn’t it?

During those two years, there’s been a lot of development on the blog. When I started out I had no idea about this whole thing, really. I never thought beyond the actual writing. I had to learn by and by how much more work is involved in having a blog. And don’t even get me started on all that technical stuff I had to learn, like SEO and hosting and WordPress. I’m still trying to wrap my head around some of it. I discovered new social media platforms, learned what keywords are, and even managed to redesign my website a few months ago.

You could say 2017 was the year when I improved on all the technical aspects of blogging. Not that there isn’t always more to learn, but I feel like I finally have a grip on the key aspects. Now, I want to make 2018 the year when I concentrate on content.

What to expect on Global Introvert in 2018 – and why I need your help for it

Through all of it, the blog has continued to grow as I wrote post after post. That’s what it’s all about in the end, isn’t it? Not the technical stuff or even the design, but the articles.

When I started I’d just write whatever popped into my head. My latest trip. Thoughts on travel. A summary of a past holiday. In future, I want to focus more on what this blog, at its core, is about: introvert travel! While I currently write articles on that once in a while, I want to make it a more central theme in all my content.

However, I can’t do that without you. This blog should be a resource for introvert travellers of any experience level. You can help me achieve that by letting me know what kind of content you would want to read.  What kind of articles would like to see more of in the future? What topics are you interested in and which questions regarding introvert travel do you need to be answered?

For example, maybe you’d like more tips on how to make a holiday introvert-friendly? Or how to prepare for a trip without letting your anxiety take over? Or would you rather read about specific destinations and in what ways they are suitable or not for introverts?

I want to make this blog as good as it can be, and that only works with your help. So share away and give me your feedback, whether in the comments, by email or in person. I’m looking forward to hearing it!
